Each year the High Sheriff makes awards to recognise the achievements of young people who have overcome significant difficulties in their lives and then gone on to make a positive contribution to their own life, or the lives of others.

Young people are nominated from a variety of sources including youth clubs, schools, housing associations, YMCA Young Carers or parents and individuals. If you would like to nominate someone please contact the High Sheriff.

Nominations should be received by November through to January for the presentation in March each year.

From time to time High Sheriffs up and down the country also make awards to people and organisations which, in the opinion of the current High Sheriff, have done something exceptional.
