Celebrating children & young people

The search is on!

Is there a child or young person in your group (up to 25 years old) who deserves recognition for their achievements despite facing adversity? We are now open for nominations for the High Sheriff’s Children and Young People’s Awards 2019.

Closing date for applications is Friday 1st February 2019.

The presentation of awards will take place on Monday 25th March 2019 at

The Quay Arts, Sea Street, Newport, PO30 5BW, between 6pm and 8pm

The High Sheriff’s Awards celebrate the achievements of children and young people who have overcome adversity and become positive role models, helped their community – or maybe both! By celebrating their success through the Awards, we seek not only to give them the recognition they deserve, but also to inspire their peers to follow their example, direct those who are vulnerable away from crime, anti-social behaviour, substance misuse or unsuitable activities and promote regular attendance at school.

Every nomination will be considered by a panel of three people, chaired by the High Sheriff. If you would like more information or have any questions about the nomination process, please contact the High Sheriff at islandhighsheriff@minghella.com

You can download and print the nomination form by clinking on the link below.  Please feel free to share the link with others who might want to make a nomination.
